21st Century Skills are an important part of learning for today’s students and teachers. Here at Burbank we want to provide each student with information to support and enhance these 21st Century Skills. 
What are 21st Century Skills? 
The 21st century skills are a set of abilities that students need to develop in order to succeed in the information age. They include:
Learning Skills: Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaborating, & Communication
Literacy Skills: Information Literacy, Media Literacy, & Technology Literacy
Life Skills: Flexibility, Initiative, Social Skills, Productivity, & Leadership

Burbank School uses technology to promote education and to offer a creative learning environment for all of our students. We offer several programs that integrate the new Common Core State Standards (CCSS) with technology. The students' skills are developed and integrated into the curriculum using computers as tools to become more efficient learners. Our goal is to prepare our students for their future using 21st Century skills necessary for success! 
Technological resources at Burbank include:
4 Computer Labs:

  • Lab 325 with 40+ workstations
  • Lab 223 with 40+ workstations
  • Middle School with 40+ laptops in the Science Rm 322
  • Library Lab with 40+ workstations
  • ​3 Chrome Book Carts 
  • Plus, digital projectors in all labs
In addition, we have computers throughout the building:
  • Computers and projectors in classrooms
  • 32 laptops for parent use and adult education courses
The classrooms have access to:
  • Campus-wide Internet
  • Chromebooks at every grade level
  • Approximately 3 designated student stations per classroom
  • Classroom Chromebooks for each student in SpEd
  • Classroom Chromebooks from DonorsChoose.org
